1. To advocate for people with intellectual and other cognitive impairments when they are at risk of suffering negative life changing events caused through their interaction with the judicial system; disability support services; government bureaucracies; family dissent or break-up, or other causes.
2. To support families/whanau, and guardians in their efforts to advocate for the group of people for whom we advocate.
3. To educate, support, and share information with all who wish to work towards bettering of the lives of those for whom we advocate.
4. To advocate and network with other groups having similar aims.
5. To support and educate vulnerable and or devalued individuals we work with to foster a vision of competency and image enhancement through the practice of the Principles of Social Role Valorization.
6. To educate community, legal and other groups on the rights, interests and needs of people with intellectual and other cognitive impairments.
7. To expand awareness of the difficulties faced by those we support, their families and other supporters, in attaining a meaningful and productive life.
